Herdade do Cebolal
Herdade do Cebolal Palhete
Pickup currently not available
Herdade do Cebolal Palhete is a Portuguese palhete from the Alentejo coast near Porto Covo, a light wine blended from white Antão Vaz and red Aragonês. It revives the old farmhouse style of light, low alcohol wine that Alentejo families drank every day, and it is made for long lunches and summer evenings.
Tasting notes
Palhete sits between rosé and red: pale ruby, fresh and easy, with soft red fruit from the Aragonês and a crisp, citrus edge from the Antão Vaz. Low in alcohol, it stays light and lively on the palate, and a second glass comes easily.
Food pairing
Drink it with grilled fish, clams à Bulhão Pato, a seafood rice, or a plate of petiscos by the sea.
