Fraga Alta Red

Fraga Alta Red is a young Portuguese red wine from the Douro valley, led by Tinta Barroca and Tinta Roriz with a touch of Touriga Nacional. This is everyday Douro red at its most generous: fruity, smooth and easy to drink. Open it without ceremony, with friends and a good plate of food.

Tasting notes

Bright colour and a lively attack, with wild red fruit on the nose and a soft, velvety palate. Tinta Roriz, the Portuguese name for Tempranillo, gives body, while Touriga Nacional adds a floral, elegant edge.

Food pairing

Lovely with cured ham, an aged cheese, grilled pork secretos, or a bifana from the corner café.
