Flume Douro Red 2020

Flume Douro Red 2020 is a Portuguese red wine from the Douro Valley, the steep, terraced wine region of northern Portugal, from the 2020 vintage. A red for the table, for a dinner with friends or a Sunday roast.

Tasting notes

Douro reds are typically made from blends of native grapes such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. They are known for ripe black and red fruit, notes of violet, cocoa and spice, a firm but rounded structure and a long finish.

Food pairing

Serve it with posta mirandesa, roast lamb, cabrito, a bacalhau com broa or an aged sheep's milk cheese such as Serra da Estrela.

About the Douro

The Douro is one of the oldest demarcated wine regions in the world, best known as the home of Port. Its schist slopes and hot, dry summers give concentrated reds with depth and freshness, and the region is now as famous for its table wines as for Port.
