Flor da Selva
Flor da Selva Guatemala Finca El Cerezo Coffee
Flor da Selva Guatemala Finca El Cerezo Coffee is a Portuguese coffee from Lisbon, roasted over firewood by Flor da Selva from a single farm coffee grown in Guatemala. A coffee for people who like a cup with character, balanced between sweetness and freshness.
Tasting notes
Guatemala grows its coffee at altitude, often on volcanic soils, which gives beans of great density and finesse. Guatemalan coffees are typically balanced, with notes of cocoa, caramel and a touch of orange, and a clean, lively acidity. Finca El Cerezo is the name of the farm this lot comes from.
Food pairing
Enjoy it with a pastel de nata, a pão de ló or a slice of chocolate cake. It is good black as an espresso and also works as a filter coffee.
About Flor da Selva
Flor da Selva is a small family coffee roaster in the Madragoa quarter of Lisbon, founded in 1950 by Manuel Monteiro. It is one of the last roasters in the city that still roasts over firewood, the way it did from the start. The Monteiro family still runs it, and the bags keep the look of Portuguese coffee packaging from the 1950s. No additives, just coffee.
