Flor da Selva Ethiopia Sidamo Coffee

Flor da Selva Ethiopia Sidamo Coffee is a Portuguese coffee from Lisbon, roasted over firewood by Flor da Selva from coffee grown in the Sidamo highlands of southern Ethiopia. This is the coffee for curious drinkers who like a bright, fragrant cup, black and without sugar.

Tasting notes

Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, and Sidamo is one of its best known growing regions. Sidamo coffees are typically floral and lively, with notes of citrus, bergamot, red berries and a light, tea-like body. Try it as a filter or a long espresso to let the aromas open.

Food pairing

Pair it with lighter sweets: a bolo de arroz, almond tarts from the Algarve or a slice of lemon cake. It is also lovely next to a piece of dark chocolate.

About Flor da Selva

Flor da Selva is a small family coffee roaster in the Madragoa quarter of Lisbon, founded in 1950 by Manuel Monteiro. It is one of the last roasters in the city that still roasts over firewood, the way it did from the start. The Monteiro family still runs it, and the bags keep the look of Portuguese coffee packaging from the 1950s. No additives, just coffee.
