Fitapreta Red
Pickup currently not available
Fitapreta Red is an Alentejo red wine from António Maçanita’s estate, blending Alicante Bouschet, Aragonez, Trincadeira, Castelão and Moreto. It is the classic Alentejo blend in a fresher, less heavy style than most. Generous fruit, good structure, and it stays lively at the table.
Tasting notes
Alicante Bouschet gives colour and dark fruit, Aragonez and Trincadeira add ripe red fruit and spice, while Castelão and Moreto keep things fresh. Expect blackberry, plum, a herbal note and supple tannins.
Food pairing
Pour it with porco preto, migas alentejanas, lamb stew, grilled sausages or a cured sheep cheese from Serpa.
About Fitapreta
Fitapreta was founded in 2004 by winemaker António Maçanita near Évora, in the Alentejo. He works with native grapes from dry-farmed, organically grown vineyards, including the old Chão dos Eremitas field blends.
