Adega de Favaios
Favaíto Moscatel do Douro Miniature
Favaíto Moscatel do Douro Miniature is a Portuguese fortified Muscat wine from the Douro, made by the Adega de Favaios cooperative in the hill village of Favaios. In Porto and the north, the little Favaíto bottle is a café classic, drunk cold as an aperitif.
Tasting notes
Moscatel do Douro is a sweet fortified wine made from the Moscatel grape on the high plateau of Favaios. Expect a golden colour, aromas of orange blossom, honey and candied orange, and a sweet, fresh finish.
Food pairing
Serve it cold as an aperitif with salted almonds, or after a meal with pastéis de nata, toucinho do céu or a fruit tart.
