Dominó Foxtrot Red 2023
Pickup currently not available
Dominó Foxtrot 2023 is a light Portuguese red wine from Portalegre, in the hills of northern Alentejo, made by Vitor and Rita Claro from old field-blend vineyards with a dash of muscat. It is a playful, low-key red that drinks like a dance: light, spicy and a little wild. The bottle for people who want freshness, not power.
Tasting notes
Light ruby in the glass. Critics note spicy, sweet-and-sour red fruit with a wild edge. The Portalegre vines mix red and white grapes in the same plot, and Foxtrot is the only Dominó wine that includes muscat, bought from local growers. Early picking and low yields keep the wine fresh and moderate in alcohol.
Food pairing
Serve it slightly cool with petiscos, roast chicken, grilled sardines, a vegetable tart, or Asian food with a little heat.
About Dominó
Dominó is the project of Vitor Claro, a former chef, and his wife Rita, who farm about 6 hectares in Portalegre, Carcavelos and Colares. Their vines are farmed organically and their cellar work is kept simple.
