Conceito
Conceito Contraste Douro White
Pickup currently not available
Conceito Contraste Douro White is a dry Portuguese white wine from DOC Douro, made by Rita Ferreira Marques from Arinto, Códega, Rabigato and Gouveio. It is a crisp, aromatic white that drinks beautifully on a hot day, and proof that the Douro is not only about big reds.
Tasting notes
The importer lists the 2022 as 30% Arinto, 30% Códega, 30% Rabigato and 10% Gouveio, at 13% and bone dry. Expect citrus, green apple, fresh herbs and a mineral, slightly saline finish. The Wine Advocate called an earlier vintage aromatic and herbaceous, great in warm weather.
Food pairing
Try it with grilled sardines, a salad of octopus, bacalhau à Brás, or fresh goat cheese.
