Compal Tomato Juice

Compal Tomato Juice is a Portuguese tomato juice from Compal, one of the country's oldest juice brands. A savoury, refreshing juice for those who do not like sweet drinks, and a favourite base for a Bloody Mary.

Tasting notes

Tomato juice is smooth and savoury, with a natural sweetness and a gentle acidity. Add a pinch of salt, black pepper and a squeeze of lemon to make it sing.

Food pairing

Pour it with brunch, eggs, a cheese and ham toastie or a plate of petiscos. It is also the base for a Bloody Mary.

About Compal

Compal is one of the best known fruit juice brands in Portugal, founded in 1952 in Almeirim, in the Ribatejo, and today part of the Sumol+Compal group. Generations of Portuguese have grown up with its small glass bottles on café counters, and its ranges highlight Portuguese fruit.

Good to know

• Serve chilled, at 6-8 °C. Once opened, keep in the fridge and drink within a couple of days.
