Caves São João Baga Novo Nat Cool Red is a Portuguese red wine from Bairrada, made from Baga, the region's signature grape, by one of its historic houses. It is a young, light red to drink slightly chilled, the bottle you open for a lunch with friends that runs into the evening.

Tasting notes

Baga from Bairrada is known for bright acidity, firm tannins and red fruit such as sour cherry and cranberry. In this young, Nat Cool style, the aim is freshness and drinkability: crunchy red fruit, a light body and a clean, juicy finish.

Food pairing

Try it with leitão à Bairrada, the famous roast suckling pig, grilled chouriço, a mushroom rice or a plate of cured meats.
