Casca Wines Cascale Síria Orange Wine

Cascale Síria is a Portuguese orange wine from Beira Interior, made by Casca Wines from the white Síria grape fermented on its skins. If you are curious about orange wine, this is a great Portuguese example: aromatic, textured and made for the table.

Tasting notes

Critics note open aromas of sour orange and apricot and a very firm grip. Skin contact gives Síria, a grape of the high inland regions, a golden colour, a light tannic structure and notes of dried herbs and citrus peel.

Food pairing

Try it with roast chicken, pork with clams (carne de porco à alentejana), spiced vegetable dishes or a mature goat cheese.
