Casa de Darei Lagar de Darei White 2022

Lagar de Darei White 2022 is a Dão white wine from Casa de Darei, a family farm on the banks of the Dão river. It is an easy, honest Dão white with plenty of freshness, a good everyday bottle that still tastes of its place.

Tasting notes

Earlier vintages of this wine have been praised as lively and fruity, with mint, sweet pear, citrus and a chalky finish. Dão whites are typically blends of grapes such as Encruzado, Malvasia Fina and Bical, grown on granite, which keeps them fresh.

Food pairing

Serve it with grilled sardines, fried horse mackerel with tomato rice, seafood rice or a goat cheese salad.

About Casa de Darei

José Ruivo bought the farm on the banks of the Dão river, at about 400 metres, in 1997, and runs it today with his son Carlos. They made their first wine in 1999 and still ferment in traditional stone lagares.
