Chocolat Bonnat
Bonnat Maragnan 75% Dark Chocolate
Pickup currently not available
Bonnat Maragnan 75% Dark Chocolate is a French single-origin dark chocolate we stock, made by Bonnat in Voiron since 1884, with Maragnan cacao from Brazil, a rare variety once thought lost. One of Bonnat's grand cru bars, for a special evening.
Flavour and texture
A 75% dark chocolate made from Maragnan, a smooth-pod Brazilian cacao that Bonnat presents as a rare grand cru. Expect deep cocoa with a fine, complex aroma and a long, silky finish.
Food pairing
Taste it with a 20 year old tawny Port, a Vintage Port or a fine Madeira.
About Bonnat
Bonnat is a family chocolate house founded in 1884 by Félix Bonnat in Voiron, in the French Alps, near the Chartreuse mountains. Stéphane Bonnat, the fourth generation, buys cacao directly from growers and makes his chocolate from the bean in Voiron: roasting, grinding and a long conching. It is not Portuguese, and we say so openly. It is a French chocolate we stock because we love it, and it sits very well next to a glass of Port.
