Chocolat Bonnat
Bonnat Ceylan 75% Dark Chocolate 100 g
Pickup currently not available
Bonnat Ceylan 75% Dark Chocolate 100 g is a French single-origin dark chocolate we stock, made by Bonnat in Voiron since 1884, with cacao from Sri Lanka, the old Ceylon. A rare origin for the curious chocolate lover.
Flavour and texture
A 75% dark chocolate made from Sri Lankan cacao, an unusual origin. Expect an intense cocoa base with spicy, woody and fruity hints and a smooth, long finish.
Food pairing
Try it with a tawny Port, a Madeira Bual, a cup of Azores green tea or a strong espresso.
About Bonnat
Bonnat is a family chocolate house founded in 1884 by Félix Bonnat in Voiron, in the French Alps, near the Chartreuse mountains. Stéphane Bonnat, the fourth generation, buys cacao directly from growers and makes his chocolate from the bean in Voiron: roasting, grinding and a long conching. It is not Portuguese, and we say so openly. It is a French chocolate we stock because we love it, and it sits very well next to a glass of Port.
