Argilla
Argilla Red 2019
Pickup currently not available
Argilla Red 2019 is a Portuguese red wine from the Alentejo, the warm plains of southern Portugal. With a few years in bottle, it is a round, friendly red for a dinner of grilled meat or a long lunch with friends.
Tasting notes
Alentejo reds are known for ripe dark fruit, soft tannins and a warm, generous palate, often from grapes such as Aragonez, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet. After some time in bottle, expect the fruit to turn towards plum and spice, with a smoother texture.
Food pairing
Open it with secretos or plumas of black pork, migas alentejanas, a lamb stew, or a cured sheep cheese from Serpa.
About Argilla
Argilla means clay, the material of the talhas, the big amphorae the Alentejo has used to make wine since Roman times. The Argilla range is made in the Alentejo and sits among the region's approachable, everyday wines.
