Apimel Portuguese Honey 50 g

Apimel Portuguese Honey 50 g is a small jar of Portuguese honey from the Apimel brand. The mini size for a picnic, a hotel breakfast tray, or a tiny taste of Portugal to bring home.

Flavour and texture

Portuguese honey is gathered from wild hills of heather, lavender, rosemary and orange blossom, so it carries a real sense of the countryside. Expect a natural, floral sweetness and a smooth texture that may slowly crystallise over time, as real honey does.

Food pairing

Spoon it over yogurt, a slice of fresh cheese or warm toast. It is also a nice touch on a cheese board next to a mature sheep's cheese, with a glass of tawny Port.

• Store at room temperature, tightly closed. Honey can crystallise naturally: warm the jar gently in a bain-marie to soften it.
