António Madeira Laranjinha Orange Wine
Pickup currently not available
António Madeira Laranjinha is a Portuguese orange wine from the Dão, made by one of the region's most talked about growers from white grapes fermented on their skins. Laranjinha means "little orange", and it is a bottle for curious drinkers who like wines with texture, freshness and a bit of wild character.
Tasting notes
Orange wines are white grapes left in contact with their skins, which gives them an amber colour, a light grip of tannin and aromas that often recall citrus peel, dried herbs, tea and stone fruit. From the granite soils of the Dão, expect a style that stays fresh and lively rather than heavy.
Food pairing
Try it with grilled octopus, pica pau, spiced chickpea dishes, a mezze style table or a creamy Serra da Estrela cheese.
