Guatemalan coffees are typically balanced, with notes of cocoa, caramel and a touch of orange, and a clean, lively acidity. It is one of the last roasters in the city that still roasts over firewood, the way it did from the start. The Monteiro family still runs it, and the bags keep the look of Portuguese coffee packaging from the 1950s.
